What I'm up to these days:
- I recently made my debut with the Grammy-nominated Clarion Choir, joining a chorus of monks in an extravagant performance with pop superstar Madonna at the 2018 Met Gala! Read about it in: Billboard, Vogue, Time, Vanity Fair (1, 2, 3), New York Times, E! Online. Watch the official video release on YouTube, or this multi-angle compilation sourced from attendees' Instagram clips, e.g. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8).
- "Someone Like Me (L'opera di Facebook)" has been released on YouTube! I wrote the score, and the screenplay is by Adam Taylor, the writer/director of "The Tinder Opera." (You can find all the production details on IMDb.) We've already recorded and shot another opera film project, an Amish-themed romantic comedy--stay tuned...
My 20-minute piece for Washington National Opera's American Opera Initiative, written with librettist Megan Cohen, had a successful premiere at the Kennedy Center in January 2018! (You can find more information about the work here.)
The Women in Comedy Festival in Boston recently hosted the premiere screening of The Shape of Destiny, for which I wrote and supervised the music.
